A 55-year-old man diagnosed with neovascular glaucoma underwent placement of an Ahmed valve to control IOP after maximal medical therapy failed to reduce IOP to below 52 mm Hg. No intraoperative complications occurred, but on the first postoperative visit, the patient's IOP was 51 mm Hg with significant blood in the anterior chamber and fibrin occluding the tube.
